Literacy Week 14th to 18th March
Posted: March 14th, 2010Literacy week is a week dedicated to promoting Literacy and reading throughout the school. There are various competitions for our pupils, ranging from creating their own book cover, poetry reading, and the much loved character day where the children come to school dressed up as a character from one of their favourite books. Reading is promoted through 15 minutes of reading each day in class as well as the different age groups taking turns reading to children younger or older than them.

The alarm clock is screaming at me. Come back tomorrow, I tell it, I’m still dreaming, but I don’t think it’s listening. I consider suffocating it with my pillow, and then reluctantly I crawl out of bed and drop the clock in the toilet on the way to shower, oops. (50 words)
