Well Done to Sanaa Khandaqji for receiving an award and participating in the Enironmental Artwork Competition.

One Chance - By Sanaa Khandaqji

My drawing represents all of the drastic changes that are happening to our world. Outside the bulb, fires are caused due to deforestation and global warming. The recycling bin is empty, as there is a lack of recycling in our present world; whilst the normal bin is over-flowing with litter. The bulb is glowing with a bright light, showing a sign to raise awareness of the heating that is occurring. The arrows show how a neutral, warm colour (green), is turning into a red burning colour (red). The ice in the bulb is melting so the penguins will not have a proper home. I showed this by having the penguins hold a sign to beg people not to damage their only home left. The tree shows that drought will occur, due to the increase in temperature; as well as floods because the icecaps are melting at a high speed. Overall, the bulb represents the miniature of the Earth that is not completely damaged, so a chance is given to us for improvement before it is too late. The photo shows that our Earth is suffering harshly even though we cannot hear its cries.
