Teaching Future Leaders Ltd UK – leadership Program

On Friday 21 January 4 pupils from The English Academy including myself attended a one day leadership program delivered by Teaching Future Leaders Ltd UK at New English School. This workshop entailed looking at your own personal leadership characteristics, what it takes to be a great leader and what made historic leaders of the past such as Nelson Mandela, Ghandi and many others so memorable and significant to the world .
At first we were put into 2 groups: those who were positive they were going to lead and another group who weren’t quite as confident. The majority of the student headed straight to the not-so-sure group; this changed dramatically by the end. Throughout the day we were challenged with different group tasks, as well as personal ones. The program helped us realise that everyone possess leadership qualities but it is those who have enough determination and passion that have the ability to change the world. Thanks to Mr Eric Liddell for organising this experience for us!
