Employment at TEA
Welcome to the English Academy’s employment section.
All teachers at TEA are licensed by the Ministry of Private Education in Kuwait. Licenses are only granted to teachers who satisfy the ministerial requirements including the need to hold a university degree from the UK or an equivalent university as identified by the ministry. Teachers wishing to complete their NQT year can do so at the school in partnership with Buckinghamshire LEA.
Applications are invited from British qualified teachers with recent experience of the British National Curriculum. In certain circumstances teachers from outside the British system are employed providing English is the first language.
The English Academy offers the opportunity to teach in a happy, stimulating and rewarding environment. Teachers are encouraged to contribute to the development of the school and allowed to concentrate on teaching and learning.
Successful candidates benefit from tax-free salaries, end of service gratuity, annual airfares allowance, baggage allowance, married/single furnished accommodation [no sharing], school fee discount for staff children and professional development support.
Interested candidates are invited to submit their C.V. with a letter of application and photograph, together with the names and contact details of two referees to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Adverts are placed on the School website under Current Vacancies for the following academic year at the end of December or when they arise. Jobs are also advertised in the TES in early January and the school normally interviews in London and Birmingham during late January or February.
