There is great excitement as this is the first time a Serbian Language programme has been organised in the Middle East.

Ivana Mitrovic, the Serbian Language Class School Teacher has been the driving force behind this and was interviewed by Serbian National Television to explain what the programme is all about. Full support has been provided by Mr Horace Vernall the School Principal and Mr Mihailo Brkic the Serbian Ambassador in Kuwait and our community, parents and pupils.

At the start of the academic year it will also open on Saturday 27th August, Saturday 3rd September and Saturday 10th September from 9am to 12pm.

The uniform shop will be closed during the Eid holiday.

Over the past few years the school has passed many students at bronze, silver and gold level. This year the school took an expedition to the Kuwaiti desert for the bronze award expedition. In April 2011 the school took 3 teams to Cyprus to complete their silver expedition. All students who undertook the expedition have passed and the school is planning similar trips for next year.

During his visit, a reception was organized where many friends of the Serbian Embassy were invited, along with Mr Horace Vernall TEA’s School Principal and Mrs Ivana Mitovic the Serbian Teaching Specialist at TEA.

During the reception President Tadic met with Mr Horace Vernall and Mrs Ivana Mitrovic who discussed the Serbian program and provided him with information about the classes given. President Tradic was very happy with the program and said that he hoped it will continue for a very long time. He also thanked TEA for providing the opportunity for children to learn the Serbian Language.
