Welcome Message

It is with pleasure that I welcome you to the Primary Section’s pages of The English Academy website.

The Primary Section covers the years from K.G. to Year 6 and is divided into two departments. The Early Years Department covers the years from KG to Year 2. The Junior Department covers the year groups 3 to 6. There are three or four classes in each year group. The year group is led by a Head of Year, who co-ordinates the teaching and learning that takes place in the year group.

The teachers and classroom assistants are dedicated to providing a supportive and stimulating environment to encourage the students in their learning. Academically, we encourage a calm and purposeful atmosphere in the classroom to ensure that the most effective use is made of the time available. Children are encourged from an early age to become independent and take reponsibility for their learning and the organisation of their belongings.

I hope that these pages will give you a flavour of the atmosphere in the Primary Department.
