Extra Curricular
The International Award

The English Academy run the prestigious International Award as a voluntary extra-curricular activity. The award has 3 levels, bronze, silver and gold, completion of which is highly respected both by universities and employers. The students have to undertake physical, skill, service and camping sections. The camping section involves desert and a foreign camping trip.
International Global Citizen’s Award

This is a fairly new programme which encourages young people to become better global citizens by: finding out about other cultures and outlooks, finding out more about how their everyday lives affect the environment and the lives of others and taking small actions to help make the world a better place. TEA has participated since the inception of this award, and was chosen as one of the pilot schools. We have had 4 bronze awards achieved to date, 1 of which has gone on to complete the silver award.
International School Award

This provides a framework within which to form and develop international partnerships and achieve curriculum goals, ideas for developing collaborative curriculum-based international work with partner schools and recognition for teachers and their schools that instill a global dimension into the learning experience of all children and young people.
SEED

The Online Science Center provides a broad range of educational resources and opportunities to learners and educators in. It also offers access to Schlumberger experts who answer questions about projects and activities. The SEED network provides hands-on workshops and online activities and projects using a project-based, approach. These experiences foster teamwork and understanding among different schools and countries. Learning Materials include ready-to-go SEED experiments, activities, and articles from the Online Science Center.
