Infant School

A Message from our Head of Infant School

At The ENGLISH Academy, children in the Infant School progress through the Early Years and into Key Stage 1. Pupils in KG and Reception follow the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework, while those in Years 1 and 2 follow the English National Curriculum. Teaching is carefully tailored to meet the needs of all learners, building on what children already know, understand, and can do, and helping them become “successful learners, confident individuals, and responsible citizens.”

Our creative curriculum brings learning to life through meaningful, real-world contexts. With a wide range of school trips, hands-on experiences, and wider school events, pupils connect their learning to the world around them in engaging and memorable ways.

We place a strong emphasis on partnerships with parents and work closely with families from the very start. Regular communication keeps parents informed about their child’s progress and wellbeing so we can support every child effectively.

We are proud of our warm and welcoming community, where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.
